Before I can say what the best weapon against zombies is, you have to understand that there are different types of weapons. Melee weapons, ranged weapons, explosives, and firearms. Melee weapons are things like knives and baseball bats, ranged weapons are things like a crossbow or throwing knife, explosives are self explanatory and firearms are guns.

For a great melee weapon, you need something that can quickly put down zombies, and also work as a useful tool. You also need to think about mobility and durability. 
The baseball bat is a fairly sturdy weapon, and easily accessible. 
The crowbar can break through skulls, are very durable and make a great tool for moving debris and stuff like that. 
The 'trench spike' is a kind of brass knuckles, except there's a six inch knife coming out of the end. It gots its name from when it was used by soldiers fighting in the trenches in WWI. The weapon was used because of its efficiency in stabbing through helmets and killing in close quarters. It has no problem in stabbing though skulls.

By far the best quiet ranged weapon is the crossbow. It is accurate at long ranges, and completely silent.

Most explosives can kill or disable a large group of zombies at a time, but they are dangerous to you, and destructive to the environment. If you mess up you could damage your home, or hurt yourself. If you know how to use them, hand grenades can make a good weapon to have on you if you run into trouble.

Firearms are a requirement in a zombie apocalypse. I highly suggest a rifle and a handgun for most situations.
For a handgun I suggest a Sig Sauer, its thought of around the world as the most well designed pistol.
For your rifle I suggest the M14 rifle, its high accuracy and semi-automatic firing will allow those with basic shooting practice to defend themselves extremely well.
One more thing, if you are using firearms, getting a silencer is a necessity. You will be able to quckly take down zombies without alerting others.

My name is Dylan Branscombe and this is my blog. I am a grade 10 student at Cameron Heights, and a part of  the Futures Forum Project. I'm going to be blogging at least once a day, about something, I don't know yet.

1. Religion

I have many beliefs and Ill start with religion. Im an atheist and have been for years, since I understood the concept of religion. As I talked about in my rant on The Theory of a New Earth, the thought of following any religion with a god(s) or higher power doesn't make sense to me, with all the overwhelming pointing towards evolution and the big bang theory. If solid evidence or enough evidence comes up that proves creation or a god then i'd gladly change my religious views, they are purely logic based.

2. Politics

I believe in both wings of the political systems, right and left. I wish communism worked as a political system, as its pretty much the perfect system-in theory. Although its never successfully worked, I believe it could pretty much make a utopia. I also believe in the right side of the spectrum, and I think it should be used, because it works.

3. How to live life

I think you should live however you want to, and not listen to what people say about you. Treat people how you expect to be treated and do what you want.
